The time is now! Philly Club Music is officially making a comeback. Just a few years ago, we had a big movement going. There was party music (Philly Club Music), teen groups, events (and house parties), meet-ups, and more. After groups started to get a bad name in the media, ‘Flashmobs’, all of our spots got shut down and there was no place to express ourselves. Thanks Mayor Nutter! So eventually the scene got dead. Philly club music was always on the radio but lately it hasn’t been because it got ruined. The children from the upcoming generation started to create music, but it wasn’t what it was supposed to be. The club head DJs just won’t play it. I’m not blaming anyone though. Now it has got to a point where when you drive through Philly during the summer, all you hear is Jersey club music. Now there’s nothing wrong with JCM, but they took a lot of OUR music and added their own flair to it. Now is time to take our crown back.
With that being said, Philly’s best producers, DJs, dancers, and others have come together to rebuild our culture. We will be bigger than what we once were. So watch out 2016, time to kick down some doors and takeover! #TheComeback
